The transition to adulthood can be especially challenging for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs, and for their families.

At Nashe Light Care, we understand that the transition from adolescence to adulthood can be a daunting and exciting time for young adults and their families. We believe that everyone deserves a supportive and empowering environment to help them navigate these transitions and achieve their full potential. That’s why we offer a range of transitional support services for young adults in the UK, tailored to their unique needs and aspirations.

Our transition support is designed to help individuals enjoy a smooth transition through major life changes: for example, through the move from children’s to adult services, or from the family home or residential college to independent living.

Our transitional support services cover various areas that young adults may need help with, such as:

Housing
Housing: We provide supported living accommodation for young adults who need a safe, comfortable, and nurturing home environment to live independently or semi-independently. Our housing options include shared houses, flats, and individual apartments, which are located in convenient and accessible areas and equipped with all necessary amenities.
Education:
We support young adults who are pursuing further education or training, whether that's through college, university, apprenticeships, or vocational courses. We can help with application processes, funding options, study skills, and academic guidance, as well as provide a conducive study environment and access to learning resources.
Employment:
We assist young adults who are seeking employment or self-employment opportunities, by providing job search support, CV writing, interview coaching, and skills development. We also collaborate with local employers and businesses to create work experience placements, internships, and job opportunities for our clients.
Personal development:
We believe that every young adult has unique talents, passions, and aspirations, and we encourage them to explore and develop these through various personal development activities, such as art, music, sports, volunteering, and community involvement. We also offer workshops, seminars, and mentoring sessions on topics such as goal setting, time management, communication, and leadership.

Transition Support

Easy application process.

Once you’ve found the right role for you, you can apply online. All you need to do at this stage is submit your CV, a covering email, and a few personal details.

Our recruitment team screens all of the applications we receive. So, if they see that you’ve got the right sort of skills and experience needed for the role, your details will be passed on to the relevant hiring manager. Then, if you fit all the criteria at this stage, you’ll be invited to take part in a video, telephone or face-to-face interview.
